Family trip to the UK in 2017

In Febuary of this year we went on our first big trip as a family of four (yes E is almost 2.5, remember we are on a teacher/ retail manager budget). On the agenda: a day or two in London and then out to Wales to visit some friends. I bet you are wondering why on earth we would do this in Febuary!?!? Remember the teacher thing? It limits our school year travel to school breaks and it was cheaper than a summer time trip.

Anyway the trip went really well (better than I think we expected) and it was so great to see our friends including P’s bestie since birth L. If you are a mother you know how hard it is to make real mom friends, (or maybe it’s just me?) and one of my best ones moved home to Wales so we just had to get out there and see them. I’ll write another post on the flights which was seriously one of the hardest parts but for now enjoy a photo dump of some of favorite pictures from the trip.

How cute are these two? We had so much fun with the phone booths. This one was in London near Big Ben.

In Stratford outside of the Shakespeare museum. We were driving right through on our way to Wales and David being the theater nerd he is WE HAD TO STOP.

Aww such a cutie! You would never know from this picture that for the entire hour proceeding this he was a total jerk and that this cuteness lasted for all of 10 min before we returned to a whole evening of jerkiness. Keeping it real.

This is my favorite family picture from this trip!

Christmas card material right here! But seriously if you are on my list here is a preview of this years card.

Con you spot the child not interested in being in the picture? I’m betting there will be many more of those in our future. This one is outside The Globe Theater in London.

My two dudes. 😍 On the grounds of Kensington Palace.

Family picture again, also on the grounds of Kensington Palace. I’m a firm believer in taking them even if everyone doesn’t look amazing in the moment, we are making memories and looking back I’m glad to have them.

The kids with Kensington Palace in the background.

Same as above, but can you spot the baby doll? That little sucker has been all over with us! I live in fear of losing it.

Aww me and the kids 😍 I don’t always love having my picture taken but I want my kids to have pictures of us. I’ll get into my whole rant on that another time…

Back in Stratford.

You are probably wondering why there are no pictures of Wales included here. They all contain our friends and I didn’t feel right about posting them.

Ok that’s all for now, because the kids are loosing their shit as I type this!
